Meet our Academic Coach

Hi, I’m Debra Shiver Kelly, owner and head coach at Academic Solutions, a personalized learning center dedicated to helping students thrive. With over 30 years of experience in education across Seminole County, I retired from the classroom in 2024 but continue to pursue my passion for empowering students to reach their full potential, especially in reading.

I hold a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, am reading endorsed, and have specialized training in the Lindamood Bell curriculum. My approach is hands-on, confidence-building, and rooted in fostering a genuine love for learning.

Throughout my career, I’ve served as a reading coach, intervention specialist, and classroom teacher, working closely with educators to differentiate instruction and support student growth. Since 2006, I’ve also offered private tutoring focused on individualized learning plans that meet each student’s unique needs. My mission has always been to help students make meaningful progress and stay motivated on their educational journey.
